We are facing an epidemic of pornography on the net of which the repercussions are still not fully understood. In fact it is frightening. With the click of a mouse, anyone, at any age, anytime can view porn online.
Governments are still tangled up by the “it’s a free-speech issue” argument. The porn industry has managed to hold onto the idea that porn is victimless entertainment that involves only the user and the consenting adults who participate. The law has yet to catch up with reality sufficient reason for technology. In a global where anyone can produce and upload porn videos or images, the internet is becoming filled to the brim with hardcore pornography and disturbing content that no-one should be exposed to, aside from our children!
A written report from the Witherspoon Institute in Princeton, N.J.,entitled, “The Social Costs of Pornography” points to new social science and brain research, and finds evidence that pornography causes multifaceted harms and warns that we will pay the price for this.

There is no level of education or warning that may prevent children from viewing pornography on the net today. The average child will see porn by age eleven online. Children are curious, children share links by email, by chat, on smart phones… Really the only solution today is to install a porn filter on each computer your child has access to. At home, friends, grandparents, school, the library, make sure a porn filter is installed on the computer. Demand it. It’s not going to go away if you ignore it.
